Always thought that was Symantec end point side effects.Īny suggestion how I can get the QNAPNAS name get to be resolved properly? I used to have some glitches of visibility of NAS shares on W7 machines but never with mappings and never noticed that DNS fail. I suspect W10 on restart can't translate the NAs name to IP address and re-connection fails. Tried hosts but that does not fix nslookup. Nslookup QNAPNAS (router is DNS proxy) returns: "*** UnKnown can't find QNAPNAS: Non-existent domain", but ping QNAPNAS pings the correct address 192.168.1.101 successfully. I am still completely confused but noticed that: I can only map through Qfinder and mappings fail to reconnect on restart of the laptop.
